Creative Critical Reflection Presentation

3rd Quarter Submission Feedback

The feedback was very constructive for my film. The film did not fit the entire screen, so we will have to rectify that mistake. We were told to try to boost our colors; however, I already made those modifications to the point where I cannot further change them. We were also given the suggestions that our film could use some establishing shots. We received feedback that we should have the protagonist jump into the car. This will crank the action scene to a new level.

My film is mainly about poker, not music, so we would focus around advertising to people who like gangster movies and poker. I would also plan on creating multiple trailers, each with a different tone, to captivate as many movie-goers as possible. My film does not have many tropes that would captivate female movie-goers. My strategy will focus on print media, TV Spots, and some social media. I would like to run advertisements on apps and websites about poker. I think it would be a good idea to advertise during big title events such as pay-per-view boxing matches, and sports programs.

Project Revision Two

We had some extra time so we could add longer shots of the face off towards the end of the film. We also plan to add more establishing shots.  We plan to re-shoot this on March 29, 2018.

CCR Draft 3

My scheduling skills vastly improved throughout this project. It was an uphill battle getting everyone in the same room for one day of filming. In fact, we lost a few actors due to scheduling. However, my group adapted to the change quickly, and created a film that we are all proud of. I also sharpened my editing skills from working on the editing with my group. I became more adept at animating text in Adobe After Effects which is something I have been trying to learn for a while. I also learned a great deal about delegating. It was hard at first to deal out tasks for each member, but by the end I picked up that necessary skill.
